Crazy Credits'Where Are They Now' clips play, starting with Carmelita arriving in her office to find the wine Sly took when he escaped with his calling card. There's something about Sly Cooper you just can't resist about him. If it's his suave, charming voice (courtesy of the great Kevin Miller), the cool gadgets he has, the friends he has plus his nemesis/love interest, and his strong code of honor, what's not to like? I like the first game, but this one improves upon it to the peak in every way in terms of gameplay, graphics, storyline, acting, and ending. Thankfully each character now has health and stealth meters as opposed to the annoying one-hit deaths of the first game. Speaking of which, you can now play as Bentley and Murray as well, each with their own strengths, weaknesses, and special abilities to compliment Sly himself. The graphics look pretty slick with a Saturday Morning Cartoon style. The storyline has improved in the writing department with plenty of film noir elements such as treachery, double-crossing, espionage, unlikely alliances, love triangle, and detective work, making this a game that even adults can enjoy.
And they're ready to pull off the biggest job of their lives yet! Journey around the world and beat the Klaww gang at their own game. Sly 2: Band of Thieves™ has. Sly 2: Band of Thieves is the second game in the Sly Cooper series, developed by Sucker Punch and published by Sony. It released on the PlayStation 2 in 2004. Set two years after Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus and the defeat of Clockwerk, Sly and the gang find out that a series of mechanical parts of the shattered Clockwerk have been stolen by the Klaww Gang.
Speaking of which, there are even a few adult jokes that will go over the heads of kids that adults can catch. My favorite is this line of dialogue:'You look familiar, do you work in law enforcement'I often deal with police while on the job'.The acting is spot on for everyone, with Kevin Miller masterfully performing as Sly Cooper himself, Matt Olson once again steals the show as Bentley with all his memorable, funny lines plus direction he gives the other two. Even though I find it annoying that each game in this series has a different voice actor for Carmelita, Alesia Glidewell is perfect as her and simultaneously her constable Neyla.
What Neyla's true intentions are I won't reveal here, you'll have to play it to find out. I like the minigames as well, one of my favorites is where Sly gets to dance a tango with the females in a rhythm game.
As for the ending, I won't reveal it here, but even though the game lacks some hidden secrets, the ending will make you want to play the game through again.
