Read our for more information! To see previous AMAs,. You can't model custom objects in Project Spark like you do with terrain. You're limited to a selection of pre-made objects. That alone limits the creation possibilities a lot.

The logic system is much more difficult to use in order to achieve the same results as in LBP. And the free-to-play model is a travesty. The only advantage Project Spark has over LBP is that it's in 3D. And that's the most noticeable difference, which is why most people who didn't try both games in depth immediately think PS is better than LBP. But on all other accounts, LBP's a better creation tool by a large margin. Yeah, im gonna have to disagree.

You are absolutely incorrect about it not being possible to make other genres in LBP's level editor. RPGs, beat 'em ups, top-down racers, tower defense games, puzzlers, shooters. Hell, some people like foofles and rialrees have even made hilarious point and click levels in the style of Monkey Island.

Then there are those weird acid trip levels that I don't even know which genre they belong in. Mostly Japanese users make them. And yes there are FPS levels though they're somewhat limited because of the 2.5D layers. With LBP3 they're adding in extra layers and full 3D movement, so it's probably going to be possible to make better 3D stuff. And the logic system is much better than Spark's. It achieves the same stuff but the way it's presented (in the form of circuits and microchips) makes it much easier to handle and visualize. I can make scripted events, custom controls or NPC programming in LBP2 at least twice as fast than in Project Spark.Being able to create custom objects is kind of a big deal. If I want to make a spaceship in LBP, I can model it from scratch, maybe incorporate some pre-made objects into it if they look right. Stick a few microchips in it, tweak the settings and in no time it's flying.

In Project Spark I'm limited to the pre-made objects. I don't know why they haven't included an object modelling tool that works like the terrain sculptor. That'd be pretty neat.My point is: yes, LBP is capable of doing all that stuff you said and more. Super markup many one. Maybe you should actually try to play it before making comparisons.
