Devs just look at Who's your daddy (its basically the same game concept as yours just with a Baby instead of a Cockroach). They are at version 1.65 and Singleplayer concent will come with next patch. Before they developed new online game modes, new items and the splitscreen mode. I think it is far easier to make splitscreen then singleplayer content. For me 2 player Splitscreen would be enough.
