Anno 1800 tips guide: how to get your empire off the ground. Overwhelmed by Blue Byte’s latest city builder? Use these tips and you’ll have a productive and bustling settlement in no time.

1+4+0+4 = 9). What do you mean 'like Anno'? Are we talking about the Setting mainly, or specific to build a city like in Anno were you manage resources and progress through different stages? Most 4x games are resource management heavy but lag the detail of a RTS like Anno. But they all have better military combat. You could go with The Settlers or Age of Empires but they do not have the complexity in resources, If you don't care about the setting then you could add C&C and Halo Wars. But a game that is as complex as anno, as detailed as anno and has more combat, No AFAIK such a game doesn't exist. Sure, you just won't be able to do it at the beginning.

But later you can work towards building a huge Navy and then declare War on someone. (Be it AI or your friends if you want to play PVP). Usually you have multiple choices of how to approach war. You can strategically take out Supply-Lines of your enemies so you cripple the production and wait for your enemy to go bankrupt. You can take out the enemies fleet and then take your enemies island under siege.

Once the Harbor falls its pretty much GG for them. So yea the War takes place on the Seas. Mate based on what you wrote your expectations of this game are different from what it is.Combat in Anno is an afterthought. Its something to make the game a bit more challenging if someone wishes it to be.

Only the World War I Western Front could have produced the rationale for the Battle of Verdun. In his so-called Christmas Memo of 1915, Erich von Falkenhayn, the chief of the German. Verdun battlefield photos.

Its simple and probably the weakest part of the game. The 'meat' of this game is resource management. To create a really big empire you need to coordinate trade routes, optimize production lines, use the space well etc. You aren't a general, you're a manager.Just to give you an example, i'm currently trying to go from 13k investors (the last tier) to 20k. I need more islands in the New World since i need all the coffee in the world. While i'm doing this, im slowly upgrading the Arctic, all the while fiddling with my main island and building on two more to completely move lower citizen classes there.

2019

On top of that i'm constantly doing expeditions/diving to find legendary items. If pirates want a war, i just pay them off. I don't have the time to go fight them and possibly get my trade routes screwed up. I also have only like 10 battle cruisers because all my influence is tied up in the Museum, Garden and Zoo. At one point i will go on a destruction spree, but for now its just not necessary. There's no problem in playing this game without AI opponents. The higher tier citizen you have the more complex their needs become.

So the chains of goods become quite complicated and you're always keeping up with demand. So if you're looking for a RTS game ala Age of Empires, forget it. Except for the fact they look kinda similar and they both have ships, the gameplay is completely different. This game has a lot more in common with Factorio than it has with AoE. Do you mean the 3rd Residence Level or Workers? Workers are the first time you upgraded.

Artisan is the 3rd Residence Level. That's pretty much half I'd say. If you play Anno for the first time it becomes confusing or though to manage right at the third level. That's where you need to establish a second Island of course the new world which behaves like its own little sub-universe and of course you need to set up supply routes.

The next two Residence Levels are super complex compared to the previous three. The more you play the easier it gets to mange the first three Levels since you learn to build your next Island way more efficient and learn from your mistakes which is actually a pretty rewarding feeling. Once you can handle the first three Levels and the basic few needs of the fourth you can go to War with chances of actually winning. But War is something your Residence don't like so you gotta mange that as well with propaganda xD.

Anno Online is a truly stunning world building game, from a simple settlement with a couple of houses you can create an empire that spans the globe. Build huge cities for your people and expand onto other islands, and play with people all over the world.
As expected, when you start Anno Online off, the only stuff you’ll have to your name are some workers, some money and a basic settlement and it is your job to transform all of this into a massive kingdom which is no easy task .
While some games are rather hard to get into due to all the complicated things you need to learn, that isn’t the case in Anno Online as the game takes an extremely simple approach with no complex terms and structures involved.
You get stone through stone mines, you get income from houses and you get wood from lumber huts. All these things are the core resources and they’re really easy to acquire which means that you won’t have to face any roadblocks early on.
Even though Anno Online is incredibly simple at the start, it gets all the more complex as the game goes on. After getting the hang of the basics and finally creating a decent enough kingdom, you’ll eventually have to deal with the demands of the citizens.
Citizens will often have a lot of requests such as asking you to have some hemp harvested which is basically a resource used to create fine quality clothing. This is just the tip of the iceberg though as there will be a whole lot of other things to manage and balance. This creates a real depth to the game that feels great when you play.
The graphics for Anno Online are amazing, for a browser game there is a huge amount of detail and it looks beautiful. The textures and building designs are all of high quality and a fully built empire is truly a sight to behold.
As for pay to acquire content, Anno Online allows you to buy some of the basic resources and some decorative ‘premium’ buildings with real world money. You earn rubies each time you gain a new level, as well as being able to purchase them.
Anno Online is a really great game, the options are almost endless, and later on when you have a large city and you expand you can play with other people and build financial empires, and help each other out a lot. This game allows you to build a stunning empire, and is well worth your time to do so.
