We’re back with another Monster Hunter World beginner build guide, where we take your weapons of choice and turn them into absolute monster-killing machines at the beginning of endgame, where the best equipment and weapons lie. For this iteration, we’ll be giving you some builder tips on the fastest weapons in the New World – the Dual Blades, or those weapons you see being wielded with fast draws and absolutely deranged moves.
The Dual Blades are great for soloing, but they do require a bit more finesse due to their shorter range and reliance on proper positioning and timing.However, with a bit of practice, you’ll find that the Dual Blades can be a great option for killing monsters while styling on them in various ways. Building towards a proper endgame set is relatively easy, too, so long as you remember that the Dual Blades are heavily reliant on the proper usage of elemental damage – this means that against all monsters, take whatever element they’re weakest against. Thankfully, this starter guide leaves the door open for any element to shine – so long as you’ve got the proper weapon for it.

However, the raw power, purple sharpness, and Fire Damage make this to be a weapon every hunter should use. Not even the low Affinity should deter a hunter from claiming this weapon. The Empress Daggers “Styx” has 252 Attack Power, White Sharpness, Razor Sharp/Spare Shot Skills, 10% Affinity, two level three slots, and 120 Blast Damage.
This blade only works with the Lunastra monster and lacks the Master’s Touch. Other than that, this build is rather good. The only reason it’s not listed in the top three is due to the fact that it has negative 20% Affinity. Other than that, the Wrathful Predation is a solid, reliable piece of weaponry.
Add to the fact that these blades are just ones that look too good to resist. 5 Bazelhawk Rookslayer. This dual blade comes with a 280 Attack Power, Blue Sharpness, negative 10% Affinity, and 150 Blast Damage. This blade is easy to craft and good for the end of the game.
The only downside to this blade is that it may be useless when finishing the main story. But all in all, these blades are very good. This weapon cannot be upgraded, unfortunately, and is only powerful against a certain number of monsters. This weapon is also obtained on the luck of a hunter. However, the raw power, purple sharpness, and Fire Damage make this to be a weapon every hunter should use. Not even the low Affinity should deter a hunter from claiming this weapon. The Empress Daggers “Styx” has 252 Attack Power, White Sharpness, Razor Sharp/Spare Shot Skills, 10% Affinity, two level three slots, and 120 Blast Damage.
This blade only works with the Lunastra monster and lacks the Master’s Touch. Other than that, this build is rather good. Add to the fact that these blades are just ones that look too good to resist. 5 Bazelhawk Rookslayer. This dual blade comes with a 280 Attack Power, Blue Sharpness, negative 10% Affinity, and 150 Blast Damage. This blade is easy to craft and good for the end of the game.
The only downside to this blade is that it may be useless when finishing the main story. But all in all, these blades are very good. They’re on par damage-wise with the Diablos Clubs II due to the Blue Sharpness, and then an extra added element of the Blast Damage.RELATED:It’s also important to mention that these weapons are axes.
